The Story

DPR designed the master plan for Pilot Mountain’s Ledge Springs Trail, an 11,000 LF wooded mountain trail located in northern North Carolina. The project included the repair and realignment along the strenuous trail. The project also included the design of a scenic overlook located at the end of the trail. The overlook was designed and located to allow for easy accessibility for all users. The project was completed in 2007.

DPR’s design services included providing an existing conditions survey, subsurface investigations, the preparation of the master plan and site construction documents, cost estimation, and construction administration.
