The Story

Concept:  To create a residential community in harmony with the existing golf course that preserves and protects sensitive environment areas.

DPR prepared the master plan for this site as a neighborhood focused around the existing Springfield Golf Course. The plan seeks to preserve the wooded character of the site through the preservation of open space areas along the golf course, Sugar Creek, existing steep slopes, and stream corridors. In addition to residential lots, the design includes parcels for future development of a community recreation area, golf clubhouse, neighborhood retail, and offices. Water quality basins and stream buffers were incorporated into the site plan to meet local and state requirements for stormwater management.

DPR prepared the master plan for residential and commercial uses, rezoning plans, schematic design.
