The Story

The Oliver is a multi-family development that capitalizes on its strategic location adjacent to the Tom Hunter light rail station. DPR provided comprehensive services including site design, civil engineering, and landscape architecture for this challenging 6.73-acre site, working in collaboration with J Forest Development and Housing Studio architects.

Our team navigated complex topographical issues, implementing innovative solutions such as retaining walls and underground stormwater management systems. These engineering feats allowed for efficient use of the site while adhering to TOD zoning requirements.

The landscape design centers around a main amenity courtyard, creating a resort-like atmosphere for residents. Key features include:
– Fitness lawn for outdoor exercise
– Resort-style pool
– Fire pits for social gatherings
– Shade structures for comfort
– Outdoor kitchens for al fresco dining

Through careful integration of these elements, The Oliver exemplifies how thoughtful design can overcome site challenges and create attractive, functional spaces in transit-oriented developments.
